Here is what has increased since 1970 -Homosexuality is on the rise. Yes, so is Autism. Also, the median life span has stopped increasing and is possibly on the decline in some 1st world nations. Birth rates are on the decline overall. Less physical activity in men. Obesity in men, women and children.
- Women working outside of the home/farms. Women working while pregnant. Stress in women who become pregnant.
- World Population, and concentration of people in cities as opposed to rural areas
- Drug Use
- Proliferation of Plastic
Why less physical activity? Well... you are sitting down in front of the reason. So many things are made easier with computers/internet/databases. Technology has made less physically demanding. I have to go out of my way to stay active.. running around the neighborhood at 10 pm or so, climbing the many mountains around here, etc.
